In a recent deal report, you talk about the high surcharges British Airways imposes on award tickets as a warning about transferring AmEx reward points to BA—but isn’t the point of collecting points on a major airline like BA so that you can then turn them around for a reward ticket on another airline of the same alliance with better reward options? Or are the AmEx reward points good only toward rewards on the airline you assign them to?
